Sierra Nevada resort incorporates two new tracks to the official plan of the station, one of them 'red' as the Nazari monument, and the other named 'Chirimoya', pays homage to the Tropical Coast of Granada.
The Alhambra already has its place next to the Veleta. The Sierra Nevada Slopes department has named one of the two new slopes that this season will be added to the official map of the resort with the name of the Nasrid monument.
The 'Alhambra' (in Arabic, La Roja) is a red slope (for high-level skiers) that starts very close to the Veleta, and is accessed from the Zayas ski lift or from the Laguna chairlift.
This track, which was trodden for the first time last season , is 600 meters long and has a steep slope (194 meters). It runs in parallel between the Tubo del Veleta and the Descenso Hombres. The acceptance by the skiers has decided the resort to include it in the official plan.
The other second incorporation presents different characteristics: Chirimoya . In homage to one of the most popular fruits of the Costa Tropical de Granada, this track is located in Loma de Dílar and is accessible for intermediate level skiers; It has a 114-meter drop in its 445-meter route. Its reference lift is the Monachil Chairlift.
With these two new tracks , the resort adds a total of 133 tracks in 111.4 linear kilometers of tracks.
